Violent crimes

The aim:
1. The aim is to familiarize students with the phenomenon of violent crimes.
2. The aim is to familiarize students with the causes of the phenomenon of violent crimes.
3. The aim is to familiarize students with the methods of combating the phenomenon of violent crimes.

Acquired knowledge:
1. Students know the phenomenon of violent crime.
2. Students know the causes of the phenomenon of violent crimes.
3. Students know the methods of combating violent crimes.

Acquired skills:
1. Students are able to recognize and characterize the phenomenon of violent crimes.

Acquired social skills:
1. Students are familiar with the problem of violent crimes – including their international aspect – and are prepared to actively counteract this social phenomenon.
2. Students can work in a team and have the ability to argue and
counterargumentation in disputes.
3. Students are aware of the fact that they are responsible for preparation for classes, and are aware of the need for continuous, independent development.

2. Defining violent crimes.
3. Characteristic of violent crimes.
4. Characteristic of most common examples of violent crimes.
5. Murder.
6. Rape.
7. Sexual assault.
8. Robbery.
9. Detecting and prosecuting violent crimes.
10. Causes of violent crimes.
11. Violent crimes – characteristic of offenders.
12. Victims of violent crimes.
