Political Socio-economic and Legal Thought

The aim:
1. Imparting extensive knowledge of axiological foundations of law and government in the context of political, socio-economic and legal thought
2. Imparting extensive knowledge of political movements motivated by political, socio-economic or legal thought
3. Imparting extensive knowledge of connections between political, socio-economic and legal theory and practice
4. Imparting extensive knowledge of main ideas of political, socio-economic and legal philosophy (i.e. freedom, human dignity, justice)

Acquired knowledge:
1. Has extended knowledge of axiological and doctrinal foundations of legal and political systems
2. Has extended knowledge of legal, political, moral and philosophical principles influencing the shape of political and legal institutions
3. Understands the connections between legal conceptions and legal relationships

Acquired skills:
1. Can apply knowledge of political, socio-economic and legal thought to the analysis of legal phenomena
2. Can solve legal problems utilising knowledge of political, socio-economic and legal thought
3. Can make practical use of systems of moral, ethical, social and ethical principles

Acquired social skills:
1. Understands the evolving nature of knowledge and the need to constantly update it
2. Can participate in a public debate on political, socio-economic and legal issues
3. Exhibits social, political and moral conscience

2. Political and legal thought of Antiquity
3. Political and legal thought of the Middle Ages
4. Political and legal thought of the Renaiisance and Enlightenment
5. Contemporary political thought
