Introduction to Criminology
The aim:
1. The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with the basic issues related to the science of criminology, the history of its development, departments and tasks.
Acquired knowledge:
1. Student describes the subject scope of criminology.
2. Student characterizes the branches of criminology.
Acquired skills:
1. Student distinguishes the study of criminology from other scientific fields.
2. Student distinguishes the subject scope of individual branches of criminology.
Acquired social skills:
1. Student is careful in expressing opinions, discusses, while remaining open to the arguments of the other side.
2. Student works independently, showing creativity.

1. The historical development of criminology.
2. Basic terms and the scope of study of criminology.
3. Criminological research areas.
