International Trade Law
The aim:
1. To provide constituent elements of the international trade law.
2. To familiarise student with elements of the WTO system.
3. To familiarise student with common commercial policy of the EU and EU common commercial policy.
4. To provide basic grounding in legal aspects of regional trade agreements.
5. To familiarise student with dispute settlement in the field of international trade law.
Acquired knowledge:
1. Student knows particular elements of the international trade law.
2. Student knows genesis of WTO and understand reasons of transition from GATT to WTO.
3. Student knows basic elements of EU common commercial policy.
4. Student knows interactions between WTO system and EU common commercial policy.
5. Student knows issues related to regional trade agreements.
6. Student knows issues of the international dispute settlement.
Acquired skills:
1. Student is able to identify legal rules relevant for matters of the international trade.
2. Student understands interactions between various legal regimes of the international trade law.
