Objective: 
We shall engage with the theory and practice of equality law in a comparative perspective. Discussing laws and cases implementing the principle of equality we shall evaluate how different legal solutions work in different contexts.

The aim:
Presentation of key concepts of equality
Analysis of legal sources of the principle of equality and non-discrimination
Analysis of judicial decisions in the field of equality and non-discrimination
Presentation of best practices of implementation of equality legislation

Acquired knowledge:
Gaining knowledge of key concepts of equality
Gaining knowledge of main legal sources concerning equality and non-discrimination

Acquired skills:
Gainining ability of legal interpretation
Gaining ability to present legal arguments and solve cases concerning equality
Gaining ability to justify decisions concerning equality

Developed reflection:
Raising awareness of human rights standards and conflictling interpretations
Preparing for public interest litigation

Assessment: 
The final grade consists of: exam (20%), term papers (20%), case studies (20%), class activity (20%), student own work (20%).
