If your high school diploma was issued outside Poland, you may need to have it officially recognised by a Polish educational authority to confirm its equivalence to a Polish certificate of secondary education. This process applies only to candidates for Bachelor’s studies and is usually handled by the local Board of Education (Kuratorium Oświaty) in Poland. Some diplomas are recognised automatically, particularly those from EU, OECD, and EFTA countries, as well as IB and EB diplomas. For more details on the procedure, required documents, and exemptions, please check the website.

Additionally, the University of Wrocław collaborates with BeRelocated, a company that can assist with the recognition process. This service is especially helpful for candidates who are unable to complete the process themselves, such as those living abroad. Please note that BeRelocated’s services are available for a fee. More information is available here.

Since 2024, this process has been required to be completed in order to obtain a visa. If you are unsure whether you need this document for your visa application, please contact the consulate responsible for the territory where you reside. You can check which consulate handles your visa case here.

After sending those two documents to us, the Final Acceptance Letter and the Support Letter to the Polish Embassy will be sent to your account.

We do not accept applications for studies via e-mail or in person. We can only assess an application that is complete – so it must include your degree certificate. Study gaps are not a problem – you can still apply. We do not hold entrance exams.

If you have any additional questions, you can always check our F.A.Q. website or reply to us so we can work it out together.

WHAT SUBJECTS ARE PLANNED IN THE STUDY PROGRAM?

The program is designed for maximum flexibility. All students follow the same program structure during the first two years. In the third year, students begin their specialisation courses for one of the options like:

  • Business,
  • Finance,
  • Governance.

The Bachelor of Business and Administration is taught entirely in English and is open to both international and Polish students and focuses on basic business related topics, such as leadership, marketing, accountancy, finance, management, research methods, international economics, entrepreneurship, law, human resource management and intercultural communication. Eventual mastery of these concepts can open doors to exciting career opportunities in business, such as managing a multinational corporation, consulting, marketing, starting your own business, offering profitable investment and financial guidance, or running a nonprofit organization.

Full study program can be found on our website.

HOW DO WE MAKE THE ENROLLMENT AND STUDY PROCESS EASIER?

Our Faculty offers a possibility of conditional decisions, which will enable you to partake in all the classes online – it’s an option for candidates who are facing problems such as:

·      fullfilling the nostrification process before the studies start,
·      inability to deliver us originals of the required documents on time,
·      inability to arrive in time due to VISA issues.

In that case you will have time to deal with the troubles until the winter semester ends while being an active student.

The type D of VISA gives the international students in Poland a right to work!

Our Faculty offers extramural studies which allow you a more flexible class schedule that will not collide with a job if you wish to find one.  The requests for this way of studying are submitted at the beginning of each semester.

The University itself does not offer any scholarships for students of the first year but there are various Polish and international scholarships that may interest you:

If you get good grades, you can apply for a Rector’s scholarship starting from the second year of your studies.

HOW TO GO ABOUT GETTING A VISA?

To apply for a student VISA you need to:

  • pay the required fees,
  • get the Apostille (or legalization),
  • buy the Medical Insurance,
  • fill out a complete VISA application form,
  • pay the VISA charge,
  • satisfy the VISA requirements.

NOTE: Please remember that getting a VISA is probably the most demanding issue in terms of the admission process. If your country is located in Europe, then the whole process can be arranged in less than one month. In other cases (especially for countries in Asia and Africa) it can take up to several months to make all the arrangements.

Therefore, we advise you to:

  • find the Polish Embassy (if there is only an Honorary Consulate in your city or nearby, you must look for a General Consulate). For some countries, when applying for a VISA, you can use the website;
  • carefully read all the requirements for the visit (e.g. in Nigeria, the Polish Embassy only recognizes the funds if your bank has its facilities in Poland);
  • make an appointment at the Embassy as soon as possible;
  • prepare basic information about the University of Wrocław before your appointment, think about the reasons why you chose the specific field of studies, why you want to study in Poland etc.;
  • have all the necessary documents required for the appointment at hand: a motivation letter, the asset confirmation, supporting letters, hard copy of the health insurance, etc.

If your VISA application is refused, you will be eligible for a full tuition fee refund.

You can find more useful information here.

The University of Wrocław can arrange a pickup for you from the Wrocław Airport or the Wrocław Railway Station. Keep in mind that you need to let us know about the date and details of your arrival at least a week earlier.

We look forward to welcoming you to Wroclaw in the near future, and we’re here to assist you every step of the way!
