The main aim of the WAICHL-2026 conference is presentation of results of scientific research and exchange of views on benefits and costs of a holistic approach to the health of people, animals, plants, and the environment. The objective of the conference is also activation and integration of the academic community, local and regional authorities, public institutions, including administration, and representatives of economic practice and business world for promoting the healthy and socially responsible lifestyle.
Conference description
The WAICHL-2026 conference focuses on selected legal, health, social, and economic aspects of implementing the One Health initiatives. Issues related to a holistic approach to human, animal, and ecosystem health will be presented during the conference. Moreover, issues regarding socio-economic effects of infectious diseases altering the course of human history, emerging health threats and their impact on quality and lifestyle, health protection and promotion, disease and disability prevention, innovations in health and pharmaceutical care, food safety and security, and state of the environment and its impact on public health will be discussed. In addition, issues related to consumer protection within the One Health framework and risk management in times of uncertainty will be presented. Issues regarding health and lifestyle will be also shown from the perspective of public statistics.
Not only representatives of academic, medical and veterinary communities, local and regional authorities but also representatives of public institutions, including administration, economic practice and business who deal with a holistic approach to the health of people, animals, and the ecosystem are being cordially invited to attend the conference.
Wroclaw Annual International Conference on Health and Lifestyle (WAICHL-2026)is the 10th anniversary WAICHL conference and the twelfth conference on health and the quality of life organised by the Institute of Economic Sciences of the University of Wroclaw and its partners. The conference I Do Not See the Problem – the Quality of Life of People with Vision Dysfunction was held in 2015. A year later, the international conference The Quality of Life for Disabled People at the Beginning of the 21st Century took place at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wroclaw. The WAICHL conferences have been organized jointly with the Statistical Office in Wroclaw since 2017.
The languages of the conference are Polish and English.
There will be a poster session during the conference.

Qualified papers in English will be published in journal Ekonomia – Wroclaw Economic Review. The papers should meet editorial requirements .

The registration fee is 1500 PLN or 360 EUR. It includes participation in the conference, certificate, and publication. The cost of participation in the conference without publication is 500 PLN (or 120 EUR).
The cost of online participation in the conference with publication is 1350 PLN (or 322 EUR) and without publication 350 PLN (or 84 EUR).
