Civil Liability

The aim:
1. Student understands the notion of tort and basic rules on tort liability.
2. Student understands the notion of contract and basic rules on contractual liability.
3. Student understands main differences between tort and contractual liability.

Acquired knowledge:
1. Student knows basic concepts of tort liability.
2. Student knows basic concepts of contractual liability.

Acquired skills:
1. Student can find and use literature in the field of civil liability.
2. Student understands basic mechanisms of civil liability.
3. Student identifies and solves legal problems concerning civil liability.

Acquired social skills:
1. Student is able to argue about civil liability cases.
2. Student understands the need to enhance knowledge in relation to changes in civil law.

3. Damage. Causation. Kinds of Damages.
4. Liability for Traffic Accidents.
5. Product Liability.
6. Liability for Other Persons (Vicarious Liability).
7. Liability of Public Authorities.
8. The Notion of Contract. Breach of Contract.
9. Liability for Non-Performance or Undue Performance of an Obligation.
10. Specific Cases of Liability.
